The Process
At CH Planning and Design Ltd, we specialise in technical drawings, computer aided design, and project planning. Our attention to detail and innovative approach to planning ensures that your project is completed, with the best knowledge of local authorities and to the highest standard.
1) Initial Meeting – A free consultation and site visit, to discuss initial client desires, design ideas and feasibility of the proposals.

2) Scope of Works – Further to the initial meeting, a scope of works will then be agreed and a fee proposal submitted to the client, clearly covering the agreed elements.

3) On Site Survey – Arrangements will be made to undertake a detailed measured site survey, such that accurate plans can be prepared of the existing building or site. If needed, a topographical survey will also be instructed.

4) Design Phase – After the creation of the existing plans and utilising the information collated and set-out in the scope of works, an initial draft design will be created.

5) Refine & Approval - Time will be taken with the client to refine and ensure approval of the final designs / plans.
​
6) Planning Application – Once approved, then a formal planning application will be submitted for the project, this will have consideration for any other supporting documentation that may need to be supplied (such as Heritage Statements / Listed Building Consent, Bat / Species Surveys, Environmental Surveys, Flood Risk Assessments etc.).
7) Building Regulation Application – Work with the chosen provider, to ensure appropriate Building Regulation Approval is considered as part of the design and is monitored throughout the build process to final sign-off.

8) Project Management – From initial indicative costings only, through to a full turn-key delivery. The relationships and network of trusted contractors, have allowed for the successful delivery of many projects for clients over the years.

9) Completion – Ensure all planning / building regulation conditions have been approved and signed off / discharged as required. For those managed projects, the handover on the project will be done.
